ECF24

This group dissipated from the ECF classification during the reclassification by [[Casas-Pastor et al.]]!

Taxonomical distribution

This group was found in a broad spectrum of organisms belonging to the phyla Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Actinobacteria, Firmicutes and Plantomycetes (Staroń et al., 2009).

Experimentally studied examples

None.

Genomic context conservation

Genomic context conservation in members of this group was not observed and no putative anti-σ factor was identified (Staroń et al., 2009).

Signaling mechanism

Unknown.

Physiological function

Unknown.

Re-classification

Members of original group ECF24 are present in ECF238, together with members of original ECF44. 84.87% of the members of ECF238 have homology to ECF24.
